The snarl ripped out of my chest as I lunged for her. She was not getting away. Not after I’d tasted her nectar and drunk her like the drug she was. Not after my cock was ready to burst with my need. “Fuck!” I roared into the night.

I crouched low to the ground to lie in wait for her to exit the thicket, but I had a feeling that trick wouldn’t work on her again.

“What are you?” I taunted. “A scared little rabbit hiding in its den?”

I heard a low growl emanating from the middle of the dense thicket. I honed in on the sound. I was going to claw my way through the brush and pull her out, whether she liked it or not.

“Maybe you’re more like a little pig?”

Her snarl was fierce and loud. I could now hear her breathing, the way her heart raced. I crept over to the spot where I knew she lay hiding from me.

“Shall I huff and puff and blow your house in?”

I could have sworn I heard her giggle. Glad to know she found this amusing. I was far from laughing.

I growled and tore into the foliage with my claws. Sadie’s surprised gasp was soon followed by her enraged snarl as I ripped through the plant closest to her head. Piercing silver eyes blazed into mine.
